Quicki’s #LaundryForHeros Initiative:
Quicki Laundry & Dry Cleaning is Toronto's first laundry and dry cleaning app with free pick up and delivery, along with a 24 hour turnaround (48 hours for dry cleaning)!
Founder Karam Dhalla stated “my family is comprised of many nurses and doctors, and when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, it was a huge reality shock for us all. The one thing that really stood out to me was how tirelessly my family was working and I could only image what every other medical professional was/is going through. Which sparked the idea to start the #LaundryForHeroes fund”.
The #LaundryForHeroes fund provides medical professionals with free laundry for their scrubs, lab coats and personal laundry. Helping to take one task off their plate so they can catch a break. We are asking Torontonians to donate to the fund and for every $1.00 donated to the fund, Quicki will match it with $0.50. Additionally, $5.00 from every order placed by people who are not in the medical field, will go directly to the fund. We have already raised $2,500 with a goal of reaching $10,000, which would provide 250 healthcare professionals in Toronto with free laundry!
